A Housewarming party is held on occasions when people move from their old house to their new house. It is an occasion where the people of the new locality come together to greet the new residents. This tradition belonged to the Middle Ages when the newlyweds were given the basic elements of life to start their new household. OPEN HOUSE An open house can be held for a housewarming party as a business showoff their facilities or a school showoff their facilities. It is basically the location for people to come and visit or to look around and enjoy the event they are visiting. The difference in housewarming and open house is that housewarming is where gifts are expected while open house is where an invitation given for guests to show up. Generally it is where friends and family come and share their time with each other.
